第一次認識La Vie En Rose這首歌曲是從柯德莉夏萍的電影[龍鳳配]Sabrina 。這是一個灰姑娘的故事, 戲中的Sabrina是美國Long Island 一名富有家庭汽車司機的貧窮女兒, 但卻偷偷暗戀主人的一位兒子, 也是一位花花公子。

忍受不了心上人的玩世不恭, 在傷心欲絕的情況下, Sabrina定離開傷心地遠赴法國學習廚藝, 兩年後, 在即將離開巴黎的一個晚上, Sabrina在房間寫信給遠在美國的父親。此時, 窗外傳來在街上隨隨奏起的La Vie En Rose, 此曲調哀怨動人, 另Sabrina 感慨萬分。

她有感而發的在信中道出:“La Vie En Rose 是法語, 意指“我透過薔薇色的玻璃看世界”, 這首歌道出我的心底話。在巴黎兩年, 我獲益良多 …我學會了如何生活, 如何投入生命, 而不是只作壁上觀, 我再也不會逃避人生或逃避愛”。
